The Fauteuil de Salon armchair is from Vitra—Switzerland’s famed design company. Originally designed in 1939 by engineer-designer Jean Prouvé, the armchair exemplifies his distinctive structural aesthetic.
The form pairs voluminous, tapering back legs with silm, steel-tubed front legs. Generous upholstery and solid wood armrests invite comfort, while all elements work in together to create a bold, architectural silhouette.

Care Instructions:
Dust wood armrests regularly and clean with a soft, damp cloth—avoid harsh cleaners. Vacuum fabric upholstery gently or wipe leather with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Clean the powder-coated steel frame with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Keep the chair away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature or humidity changes to prevent fading or warping. Immediately blot spills with a dry cloth. For stubborn stains, consult Vitra’s material-specific cleaning guides.
